File Version Control
Always Know Which Is the Latest Version of Your Files with the Spitfire Project Management SystemIf you are still using spreadsheets or files that are shared by email, you may have encountered the confusion that arises when two copies of the same file get updated independently. You want to know that you are always dealing with the most up-do-date version of any file and that everyone else is also dealing with that same exact version. The Spitfire Project Management System's Version Control ensures that, while all versions of a file are catalogued, everyone is accessing, viewing, and editing the latest version only. Confusion is thus eliminated.
Check-out and Check-in Spitfire uses check-out and check-in protocols (as a library does with books) to ensure that only one person at a time is making changes to a file. When a revised file is checked-in, that version replaces the current version as the "latest version." No more time is wasted looking for a file, or for who has the latest version, or wondering if it is ok to edit a file at any particular time.
